THE MALVERN HILLS DISTRICT STREET SCENE TEAM

The Street Scene Team acts as the district's outdoor housekeepers. They look after the environment, keeping it safe, clean and healthy.

Recognised by their distinctive green unforms they are now established, familiar figures in the community. The team has a long list of district management and maintenance jobs.

Controlling litter -
Making sure dog owners take their pets to the designated public spaces -
Public conveniences -
Fly tipping -
Removing graffiti -
Abandoned cars and
Illegally parked vehicles.

"Wardens also help tackle anti-social behaviour and work in partnership with other agencies and local communities" said Team Manager, Gordon Morris. "Wardens will join your community groups on a litter pick. Just by their presence around the estates they help develop a greater feeling of confidence among residents." he said.

Since the team was formed they have consistently kept the streets free of abandoned vehicles, removing the equivalent of two a week. are vigilant in keeping graffiti off the streets and follow up cases of fly tipping swiftly to retain the clean bill of health the district already has.
