FARM & RURAL WATCH ALERT
ISSUED 17-4-12
BROMYARD DIVISION
At some time on Sunday 15th/Monday 16th April
in Bishops Frome
thieves dismantled a Cambridge roller which was left in a field away from any
nearby property. The thieves lifted nearly 100 separate rollers, weighing
about 18kg each over a barbed wire fence and stile and walked into an
adjoining field where it is believed they were loaded onto a trailer with
a small van. The roller is worth in the region of £5000.00.
Over the same period
again in the Bishops Frome area
a second roller theft was stolen. The thieves dismantled the roller and
left the frame and spare bits of metal on site, but lifted all the roller parts out.
Please be vigilant and if you have seen anything suspicious
please report it on
